The 2024-25 academic year will be one to remember for Kellogg Community College Athletics as Bruin student-athletes shined both in competition and in the classroom. With standout performances, record-breaking achievements, and a continued commitment to academic excellence, KCC Student-Athletes and Coaches have earned some much-deserved recognition.
The 2024 Kellogg Community College Cross County season closes with program progress and a bright future in years to come. The Bruins return from Virginia with a women’s 7th place finish and a men’s 5th place finish in the NJCAA DIII national championship race. 67 NJCAA DIII schools participate in cross country nationwide and the Bruins have proven they belong on the national stage and will be a force moving forward.
The Kellogg Community College cross country teams competed in the MCCAA Championships and the NJCAA Region 12 DIII Championships simultaneously. Both the Men’s and Women’s teams came home with a Regional Championship. This is the first regional championship for the men’s team in 6 years and first regional championship for the women’s team since 2021.
The Kellogg women's cross country team competed on Friday, October 12th at the Muskegon Jayhawks Invite. The team placed 12th, and seven of the women had personal records (PRs).
