Media Information for KCC Athletic Events
Media Passes for Athletic Events
Kellogg Community College welcomes student photographers, videographers and approved media representatives to cover our athletic events in areas not generally accessible to the public during athletic competitions.
To help ensure a safe, respectful and professional environment for our student athletes, fans and staff, the following guidelines apply to all individuals interested in acquiring a media pass for the purpose of covering a KCC Athletics event.
How to Request a Media Pass
- Submit your request at least two business days before the event by emailing Athletic Director Drew Fleming at flemingd@kellogg.edu.
- Requests must include your name, affiliation (student, media outlet or personal project), and intended use of the content.
- Passes are limited for each competition and are available on a first come, first served basis.
General Rules
- Pass holders must check in at the ticket gate or front desk upon arrival.
- Passes are non-transferable and valid only for the date of issue.
- Passes must be worn visibly at all times while shooting and must be returned upon leaving the venue.
Photography & Videography Guidelines
- Pass holders are limited to the sidelines on the south (bleachers) side of the gym and to the baselines on either side up to the start of the wall cushions only.
- Pass holders must not interfere with play, coaches, officials or spectators.
- Flash photography is prohibited during play.
- Tripods and large equipment may only be used in designated areas.
Code of Conduct
- Respect student athletes, coaches, officials, staff and fans at all times.
- Follow staff directions immediately if asked to move or adjust your positioning.
- Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in revocation of media privileges.
