Bio

James Moore has been named the women’s basketball head coach at Kellogg Community College. With more than 30 years of both high school and collegiate coaching experience, Coach Moore looks to continue to grow the women’s program. He is searching for strong, driven young women who want to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Through his career, Coach Moore has been associate head coach at Three Rivers for the girls team, as well as had great success as the boys varsity head coach at Ross Beatty Cassopolis. In his time at Cassopolis, he also began a successful youth basketball program.

Most recently Coach Moore spent the last three years with our KCC men’s program, assisting them to two post season appearances and a 20+ win season which was the most the program had achieved in over 10 years. Prior to that he was on the staff at Glen Oaks Community College where he was apart of MCCAA Championship teams.

Coach Moore is very proud of his family as well. He has three biological children and also is fortunate to be a foster parent, which has added four adult children to his life.
