
Six Volleyball Players Earn Post-season Awards
Six Kellogg Community College women's volleyball players earned postseason athletics awards from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and/or National Junior College Athletic Association for their success on the court this season.
KCC award winners include:
· Sophomore libero/defensive specialist Kate Doyle (Battle Creek/St. Philip Catholic Central High School), NJCAA Great Lakes District B All-Tournament Team
· Sophomore middle blocker Antonia Keith (Charlotte/Charlotte High School), MCCAA Western Conference Honorable Mention All-Conference
· Sophomore outside hitter Gabrianna Kringle (Kalamazoo/Galesburg-Augusta High School), MCCAA Western Conference Second Team All-Conference
· Freshman middle blocker Caliey Masserang (Cadillac/Cadillac High School), MCCAA Western Conference Honorable Mention All-Conference
· Sophomore setter Julia May (Charlotte/Charlotte High School), MCCAA Western Conference Honorable Mention All-Conference
· Freshman outside hitter/middle blocker Piper Porter (Athens/Athens High School), NJCAA Great Lakes District B All-Tournament Team, NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Region Team, All-MCCAA Team, MCCAA Western Conference First Team All-Conference, MCCAA Western Conference Freshman of the Year, MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team
The women's volleyball team ended the season in the district semifinals under second-year Head Coach Judy Mason. The team finished the season with a winning 8-4 conference record and a 23-10 record overall – the most wins for the program since 2010
