Six Soccer Players Earn Post Season Awards

Six Kellogg Community College women's soccer players earned postseason athletics awards from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and/or National Junior College Athletic Association for their success on the field this season.

· Sophomore defender Berlynn Conley (Plainwell/Plainwell High School), Honorable Mention All-MCCAA

· Sophomore midfielder Allison Dietzel (Portage/Portage Central High School), NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Region Team, NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Tournament Team, NJCAA Region 12 Division II Tournament MVP, Second Team All-MCCAA

· Freshman defender Aubrie Evans (Gobles/Allegan High School), NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Tournament Team, Second Team All-MCCAA

· Sophomore goalkeeper Airanna Griecci (Chelsea/Chelsea High School), NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Tournament Team, Honorable Mention All-MCCAA

· Sophomore forward Aubrey Phenicie (Kalamazoo/Portage Central High School), NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Tournament Team, Honorable Mention All-MCCAA

· Sophomore midfielder Sophia Saunders (Otsego/Otsego High School), NJCAA Region 12 Division II All-Region Team, First Team All-MCCAA

Additionally, fourth-year Head Women's Soccer Coach Levi Butcher won NJCAA Region 12 Division II Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive year.

The women's soccer team finished another record season this year that saw the team win the College's second women's soccer regional championship and first back-to-back regional championship win in College history.

The team finished the season in the district semifinals – the farthest any women's soccer program has progressed in program history – with a 4-3 conference record and a 10-5-2 record overall.
