The Kellogg Community College soccer team hosted their home opener where they tied in a top-15 ranked showdown with 310 Iowa Central Community College.

Head Coach Levi Butcher said, "The chance to match up with a team that is also ranked inside the top 15 is one that we couldn't pass up, so when Iowa Central came calling, we were excited for the challenge. It is a good test from outside our Region, and they brought it today. We had some tired legs from back-to-back games, but our ladies really pushed through that adversity and had a good showing. We fought back from a goal down twice to level the score, and against a quality opponent, we're pleased with the result. It shows that we can play right with a top team, and that we belong in that conversation."
Next up, Bruins host Lake Michigan College on Wednesday, Sept. 4 with a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
