Women's Bowling Brings Home Doubles National Championship
The Kellogg Community College women's bowling team and two men's individuals traveled to Cheektowaga, NY for the NJCAA Bowling Championship. The women's team brought home the Doubles National Championship as well as 7th place overall!
The Bruin ladies had a hot start, highlighted by Brooklyn Page and Isabella Thomas winning the Doubles National Championship. Emily Lemon then finished 6th for the singles competition, helping the Bruins enter team play in fourth place ahead of the eventual team national champions. I am very proud of the performance and growth of this team that featured 5 freshmen. I also want to highlight Sophomore Brooklyn page who just missed out on All American status by a single pin.
Both men had ups and downs throughout the tournament but learned so much in the biggest event of the year. Zhander Lord had a strong start to the tournament and Cameron McKee finished well, throwing a 268 in the final set.
