Head Coach Tom Shaw had many great things to say about this group. He noted, "The Bruins finished 7th of 18 teams participating in this race. Freshman phenom Julian Borst was impressive in his first collegiate race. He finished 3rd overall with a 6th best in KCC program history 28:14 time on a difficult 8K course. Borst qualified for the national championship race with his time. Other notable finishes for the men include a gutsy race by Freshman Bruno Cabrera (30:34) and by Freshman Will Kennedy (32:51) as he posted 3 negative mile splits in the last 4 miles of the race."
Bruins are back in action on Friday, September 13 at the Raider-Knight Invite in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
