Volleyball Battles, Splits the Week

The Kellogg Community College volleyball team played Lansing Community College on Tuesday, September 12 at home and nabbed a huge 5-set win. Thursday, September 14 they traveled to Lake Michigan College where they battled to 5 sets, but fell short. 

Lansing | W, 3-2

Stat Leaders: Gabrianna Kringle - 11 kills, 25 digs, 2 block assist; Jordyn Arnold - 8 kills, 4 digs, 4 block assist; Jillian Clary - 8 kills, 8 digs; Julia May - 27 assists, 17 digs, 7 kills; Antonia Keith - 4 kills, 1 solo block, 6 block assists; Ella Kohuth - 4 kills, 3 solo blocks, 3 block assist; Kate Doyle - 16 digs. 

Head Coach, Judy Mason said, "The team worked hard tonight against a very strong Lansing team. This team just doesn't stop playing. We worked hard to defend the home court, and our win streak - 9 in a row!"

Head Coach, Judy Mason said, "The team worked hard to five sets tonight against a strong defensive Lake Michigan team. We will keep learning, growing, and progressing our game. Teamwork with this group is strong, so I know we will bounce back."

Next week, the Bruins travel to Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Tuesday, September 19 for a 6:30 pm start. Thursday, September 21 they'll host the annual BLAZE OF GLORY game partnering with KCC Student Life as they take on Southwestern Michigan College at 6:30 pm.
