Emilia Braman got the game started with a goal in the 21st minute on a through ball from Jessie Cummins. From there, the Bruins held steady until Aubrey Phenicie finished in the 44th minute on a pass from Allison Dietzel and Rayna Richardson making it 2-0 at the half. Lydia Schamanek scored on a penalty kick in the 55th minute to really secure the game for the Bruins. SC4's only goal was a PK.

Coach Butcher said, "Airanna Griecci was massive for us in goal today. We weren't at our sharpest on the day, and credit to the Skippers for pressuring us with speed and a lot of physicality. It threw us off our game a bit, but the ladies kept their cool and managed the game well." Butcher continued, "The team stayed together in everything we did today, and weathered a few storms in the second half. The midfield had to be tough and physical today, and I certainly thought they accomplished that."

Bruins hit the road on Tuesday, September 12 for a big game at Jackson College. Kick off is at 4:00 pm.
