Women's Bowling Team 2023

Women's Bowling Opened Season Last Friday

The Bruin Women's Bowling team is back for the 2023 season and hit the lanes last Friday for their season opener. Head Coach Brad Morgan is excited for the season, and what each player  brings to the table. The women's team consists of two returners, and three newcomers.

Leading the way is sophomore Emma O'Donnell who is back for her 3rd season. O'Donnell is looking to build on a solid run at the Region XII Tournament as part of the 2nd place doubles team least season. Coach said, "2023 should be a breakout year for O'Donnell!"

Also returning for the Bruins is sophomore Eleanor McAllister, the other half of the 2nd place state and regional doubles team. Coach said, "Ella has been putting it work to improve and defend. This should be a great season for her as well!"

Leading the newcomers, is Abigail Grimm, a standout bowler for Homer High School. Grimm was a MHSAA Girls State Singles Semi-Finalist. Coach said, "Abigail is looking to continue her success as a Bruin."

Also joining this year is Brianna Pawloski. She comes to the Bruins from Olivet High School. Coach said, "Brianna has worked hard and looks forward to a strong season."

Rounding out the women's roster is Isabela Liebana. She is an exchange student from Brazil, joining the Bruins from Lakeview High School. Coach said, "Isabela has come a long way in a short time. She has a strong physical game with lots of room for improvement."

The team opened play this past Friday, Jan. 6th at Marian University's Ancilla College for the first tournament of the year. Your Bruins placed fifth as a team, led by Emma O'Donnell who had the High Game of 181, as well as Abigail Grimm who notched a High Series of 466.
