Zach Barker, Robert Burns III, and Ryan Sturgeon win MCCAA men's bowling awards for 2023.

Three Men's Bowlers Notch MCCAA Awards

Join us in congratulating the three men's bowlers who notched 2023 MCCAA Awards: Zachary Barker, Robert Burns III, and Ryan Sturgeon!

Zachary Barker (Olivet, MI Olivet) earned MCCAA All-Western Conference and All-Tournament Team honors. At the MCCAA Tournament on Friday, February 10th he and his doubles partner (Robert Burns III) won the men's doubles tournament. Barker finished 4th in singles with a 674 series, and placed 6th in All-Events knocking down 1708 pins. 

Robert Burns III (Marshall, MI / Marshall) earned MCCAA All-Western Conference and All-Tournament Team honors. At the MCCAA Tournament, he and his doubles partner (Zachary Barker) won the men's doubles tournament. Burns III hels the high game for KCC on th day with a new school record of 289. He finished 5th in singles with a 674 series, and placed 3rd in All-Events knocking down 1799 pins.

Ryan Sturgeon (Coldwater, MI / Coldwater) earned MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team honors. This was voted on by the coaches in the MCCAA and is based on the entire season of work.  

The team has one more chance to show off their skills for a chance to qualify for Nationals, as they head to the Region XII Tournament this Friday, Feb. 17th at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing.  Bowling will begin at 9:00 am.
