MBB to Begin MCCAA Play 13-0

The KCC Men's Basketball team has continued their hot streak and decidedly so. The Bruins are currently the only team in the MCCAA Western Conference that will begin conference play undefeated. Following some gutsy wins, and sheer determination by this group, conference play should be an exciting time for Bruins MBB.

The Bruin's offense this year is made up of more than a handful of players, as the roster runs deep at several positions. At the helm of the scoring are freshman guard Ke'Marion Tucker (Battle Creek/BCC Central), sophomore James M. Isaiah Moore (Three Rivers/Three Rivers), and sophomore forward Sam Hoskin (Detroit/Renaissance) who are averaging 13.5, 10.8 and 10.7 ppg respectively. Dishing out to that crew are sophomore Jalen Jackson (Warren/Lake Shore) with 2.4 ast/g, freshman Jakeem Cole (Chicago/Perspectives) with 2.1 ast/g, and freshmen Mikial Miller (Indianapolis/Cardinal Ritter) and Brandon Moore (Lima/Lima Senior) with 2.0 ast/g each.

Leading the defense for the Bruins are Hoskin with 8 reb/g and Isaiah Moore with 6 reb/g. Brandon Moore leads the team in stl/g averaging over 2 per game.

In the most recent NJCAA DII MBB National Rankings, the team was noted as receiving votes. The Bruin's next home game is Jan. 20th at 3:00 p.m. vs. Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
