Bruins Fall Against Tough Opponents

The KCC men's basketball team had a tough week of losses, hosting #9 Macomb on Wednesday, Dec. 7th and traveled to a tough Mid Michigan College on Saturday, Dec. 10th.

Leading the way for the Bruins in their game against Macomb was freshman center Sam Hoskin (Detroit/Renaissance) who scored 19 points and had 3 rebounds. Sophomore guard Rasheed Dyson (Chicago,IL/Evergreen Park) notched 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Bruins, while sophomore forward Brett White (Battle Creek/Battle Creek Central) tallied 11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.

Coach Proefrock said about Wednesday's game, "Against a nationally ranked team like Macomb, you have to take care of the ball. We outscored them the second half, but our turnovers ultimately sealed our fate."

Leading the Bruins in the game vs. Mid Michigan was sophomore forward Brett White who scored 26 points, and had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Tied at next high-scorer are Sam Hoskin who notched 12 with 9 rebounds and 2 assists, and sophomore forward London Gillery (Detroit/Hazel Park) who scored 12 and has 4 rebounds. Freshman Antonio Williams (Parchment/Parchment) scored 11 in his second game of the year with 2 rebounds 1 steal and 1 block. Rasheed Dyson added another 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals for the Bruins.

"Today's game was a tough loss against a very good Mid Michigan team. Going into the game we had to exploit the lack of depth for Mid Michigan, but we were not able to," said Coach Proefrock about Saturday's game.
