Bruins Begin Conf. Play 3-2

The Kellogg Community College baseball team begins conference play 3-2, topping Marian University's Ancilla College, Glen Oaks Community College, and Lake Michigan College. They fell to Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Lansing Community College. 

Kalamazoo Valley | L, 6-4

Coach's Notes: "We didn't play particularly well in any phase of today's game. We have to learn from this one and do a better job of handling adversity moving forward. "

Coach's Notes: "Midbo gave us a quality start. Reichel and Ickes were outstanding out of the pen. Mason paced the offense and Piasecki launched the timely long ball. Go Bruins!"

Coach's Notes: "Great to see our guys play a complete game in all phases. Piasecki and Martin paced the offense. Apligian, Zilch, and Ferguson were great out of pen."

Lake Michigan | W, 5-0

Coach's Notes: "Cam Reichel was tremendous out of the pen picking up the win today. Offense utilized some small ball to stretch the lead late. Go Bruins!"

Lansing | L, 7-5

Coach's Notes: "Some early miscues put us behind late. We fought our way back in the 9th and came up a little short."
