The Kellogg Community College Baseball team is currently on a 15-game win streak and in first place in the MCCAA Western Conference with a 16-1 record (27-8 overall). The Bruins have won 25 of their last 26 games and are continuing to put in the work needed for them to get back to the World Series this Spring.

Coach Laskovy stated, "Our bats have been staying hot lately. It has been great to get some conference series sweeps!" He noted that the team is continuing to work on their execution to get to where they want to be - which is winning the Region XII Tournament, and heading to Enid, OK for the 2023 World Series.

The Bruins are getting noticed on the National level, with freshman right handed pitcher Gavin Beuter recently earning DII Pitcher of the Week for his 15-0 shutout win (no-hitter) against Kalamazoo Valley on April 6th. Leading at the plate for the Bruins has been freshman, second baseman Aaron Piasecki (Muskegon/Mona Shores). Piasecki still finds himself in the top 7 of the NJCAA DII leaderboard for season batting average, sitting at .467 and comes in at 8th in on base percentage at .562.

Other noteable stats: sophomore, right handed pitcher Kane Elmy (Canton/Plymouth) sits top 30 nationally in ERA for the Bruins; and sophomore, first baseman Aidan Arbogast (Livonia/Stevenson) has the best slugging for the Bruins (.638) with 6 homeruns, and 12 doubles and 42 RBI.

In the NJCAA DII National Rankings for Week 6 (April 17th) the Bruins climbed to 8th Place.
