Bio

Coach Tierra Konkle enters her 2nd season with the Bruins. Konkle came to KCC with Head Coach Sal Konkle after spending the 2019-2020 season as an assistant coach at Marshall High School with her. Their record during the 19-20 season together was 14-3 (6-1 in conference), adding in a district title. 

A native of Marshall High School, Konkle was a three year varsity starter winning 2 district championships and 2 regional championships in her career. Konkle (Orban) then went on to play at Albion College. Konkle (Orban) was a four-year letterwinner and 2 year captain as a player for Albion College, averaging 5.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.68 steals, 2.6 assist per game her senior year as a Briton. Konkle (Orban) helped the Briton’s post 60 victories in her career. She was part of a Briton team (2016-2017) that made it back into the MIAA tournament after 4 years of a hiatus. She was also active in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as Community Outreach Chair for the Britons. 

Konkle (Orban) graduated from Albion College in 2018 with a degree in Psychology and Communications and a concentration in Human Services. She went on to graduate in 2020 from Western Michigan University with her Masters in Social Work.

Along with coaching the Bruins, Konkle is a school social worker through Calhoun Intermediate School District at Pennfield Schools. Tierra is married to Mitch and they have 1 daughter, Ava.
