Coach James Moore joins the Kellogg men’s basketball staff with more than 30 years of high school and collegiate coaching experience. This is his second stint as an assistant to Steve Proefrock, where they saw success at the junior college level with four seasons ending in Conference Championships.

Since their first stint together, James has been associate head coach at Three Rivers for the girls team. And after that, he had great success as the boys varsity head coach at Ross Beatty Cassopolis. In his time at Cassoplois, he also began a successful youth basketball program. 

Coach Moore is very proud of his family as well. He has three biological children, Courtney, Mitchell, and Isaiah. He also is fortunate to be a foster parent, which has added four adult children to his life. All of his children know him as their papa. James has one grandson.
