Bruins Soccer Eyeing Playoff Spot this Fall

The Bruins soccer team may have had one of the toughest schedules in the nation to begin the season. They faced #2 ranked Delta College, followed by #4 ranked Muskegon Community College, returned back to Delta, and then followed up by Muskegon again the following week. Their record may not have shown it then, but this group is resilient. 

Currently, the Bruins are 4-6-1 and eyeing a chance to secure a spot in the Region XII Tournament on Oct. 29th and 30th in Marysville, MI. The Bruins will need to finish in the top four teams in the region standings to qualify for the tournament. They are currently ranked #4 and are looking for that to hold, or climb through the remaineder of the season. Your Bruins have shown their strength throughout the season, with the big wins starting in week four. 

Week Four:

Sept. 17th vs. Terra State CC | W, 13-0 

Sept. 21 vs. Schoolcraft College(#13) | T, 1-1

Week Five: 

Sept. 24 vs. Ancilla College | W, 2-0

Sept. 29 vs. Lake Michigan College | W, 1-0

Week Six: 

Oct. 1 at St. Clair County CC | W, 1-0

Oct. 5 vs. Jackson College | L, 0-4

Heading into week seven, the Bruins are prepared for their match on Saturday, Oct. 8th at Schoolcraft College. Last time the two saw each other was the Tie at home in week four. Game time is at 2:00pm.
