The KCC Women's Basketball team has improved to a nine-game win streak to continue the best start of the season in more than 10 years! The Bruins are currently 14-3 after starting conference play at an undefeated 4-0. They've topped Southwestern Michigan, KVCC, Glen Oaks and Lake Michigan so far in conference play.
The Bruin's offense continues to be led by first-year guard, Kaylee Glidden (Battle Creek/Pennfield) who is leading the Nation in points per game with 25.5 PPG. She continues to be backed up by 5 more Bruins all scoring 7+ PPG: Shayla Ardis (Battle Creek/BC Central) with 13.9 PPG, Corrin Replogle (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg) with 12.3 PPG, Mary Whitmore (Dowling/Delton Kellogg) with 9.0 PPG, Alana Compton (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg) with 8.6 PPG, and Cheria Richardson (Battle Creek/BC Central) with 7.2 PPG. Replogle is setting up the offense as well, dishing out 6.3 AST/G.
Leading the defense are 4 Bruins nabbing 6+ boards per game led by Ardis with 9.9 REB/G, followed by Whitmore with 7.3 REB/G, Glidden with 6.5 REB/G and Compton with 6.9 REB/G. Glidden, Replogle and Richardson are all grabbing 2+ steals per game.
The Bruins head north to face off against Lansing on Wednesday, Jan. 31st with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
